Our mission is to build a home, a traditional Navajo hogan for Catherine Plummer, who today lives near Bluff, Utah in a condemned trailer. This journey will help us examine ine the poverty in our own lives and gain a stronger relationship to God

June 2014 YMO Mission

Amidst the historic beauty of Southeast Utah, lies St. Christopher's Mission, land of the Navajo Nation and now part of the Episcopal Church in Navajoland. The mission was oritinally built in 1943 by Baxter Lieble. an Episcopal priest. This year, the YMO group's mission will be to build a traditional hogan a short distance from St. Christophers for Catherine Plummer, the wife of the late Rt. Rev. Steven Plummer, who was the first Navajo bishop in the Episcopal Church. Catherine was ordained herself in 2013 and grew up with Baxter Liebler as her teacher and priest. Today, she lives in a trailer that has been condemmned as it is unlivable.

The YMO is once again raising runds to support our Mission trip to Bluff, Utah.  All donations help to build the new home and are gratefully received
